Sweaty Yoga!

So after a 2-year haitus, I decided to go back to Funky Door Yoga last night to sign up for a 30-day pass - unlimited Bikram sessions for the next month! For those of you who don't know about Bikram yoga, it is a very intense 90-minute session that involves a series of 26 poses done in a heated, sweaty room at 100 degrees Farenheight!

According to the Funky Door website:
"Bikram’s yoga is a routine of 26 poses which works the whole body in 90 minutes. The poses work synergistically and cumulatively to return the body to a balanced state. The yoga builds energy, stamina and flexibility. It incorporates strength, challenge, gravity, balancing and most importantly the tourniquet effect. This technique allows the stretching, squeezing and massaging of the internal organs, flushing out the cardiovascular system and stimulating the endocrine and nervous systems in order to release any deficient hormones and enzymes."

I came home last night feeling so refreshed, rejuvinated, accomplished, tired and sweaty! I'll be going back regulary.....wanna join me? ;)

LOL - Hey Sarah ;-) I just went back to yoga too and am trying Bikram - it's hot, sweaty for sure, but so good afterwards - the half moon pose kills me and I laugh because it's only the second in the series...besides complete relaxation, I think my favorite one is the triangle. We should go to a class one day together ;-) Have fun!!!

I would but I just can not get the balance. I'm unbalanced (physically, maybe mentally). Let's take a walk or something around campus sometime.
