A Day in our life.....

We're on a very tight budget these days, so making dinner together at home and playing together as a family are two of our favorite activities!

The other day I made a yummy teriyaki shrimp and veggie dish, and Zoey was being extra goofy so I had to take some pics. I joke that she should run away and join the circus with all the tricks she can do - ha!

This is just nasty - what an odd bird Kesha is! Apparently, she wants your teeth! And she also claims to wear another necklace daily that's made from her own placenta....really?

According to a recent Twitter post, Kesha says, ""I've received 1 tooth from a fan. I made it into a necklace. But now I really wanna make a fan tooth necklace to wear to an awards show. So. What I'm getting at is please send me your teeth. I'm dead serious. I need your teeth."

Um, ok....while I totally admit to saving Zoey's umbilical cord stump, and I also plan to save her baby teeth after they fall out, those special "treasures" will stay tucked away in my jewelry box, not hanging around Kesha's neck. Can you imagine if she received teeth from those with major dental problems?! Eww......

Oh Keebler..... : )

Has anyone else ever noticed the humor behind Keebler's slogan? I never realized this before today, but on my way to work this morning I passed by a Keebler delivery truck on 980, and low-and-behold the slogan on the side read, "A little E'lfin Magic Goes A Long Way"...ha! I love it.

They also have a pretty cool website - flashy, interactive and just plan cute. Mmmm...now I'm craving me some E.L Fudge double stuffed cookies...YUM!

Mom's Birthday Weekend in Manteca

Since I had a training at Delta this weekend, and since it was my mom's 50-something birthday : ), we decided to spend the weekend in Manteca relaxing, celebrating, playing, and hanging out with family. What great times we have when we're all together! It can be chaotic at times (especially with 2 dogs, a 3.5 year old Hayden, and a 1.5 year old Zoey), but it's MORE than fun to say the least. : ) I know I say it all the time, but I LOVE my family oh-so much!

She now says over 100 words (easily), knows how to push our buttons and test boundaries, how to melt our hearts with kisses and loves, and how to entertain us with her hilarious antics and silly behaviors. Oh Zoey, you're a delight in our lives! xoxo

Park Street Spring Festival

Last Sunday we attempted an afternoon out at the Alameda Spring Street Festival for Mother's Day - and while it was great to meet up with our dear friends Beth, Jason & Jonah, it was a crazy windy day, and Zoey was a fussy mess. Oh well, we tried. : )

Brain Games!

When I was a kid in the 80's, I was fascinated by the Brain Games segments featured on HBO. In between feature presentations, they showed these unique, humorous tidbits of intellectual and creative entertainment....MUCH better than a advertisement, don't you think? I was so excited when I found old snippets of Brain Games on YouTube.....hope you enjoy it too!

Saturday Part 2 - Celebrating Raquel!

Our dear friends Raquel and Greg are getting married this summer (yay!), and Saturday was Raquel's fun-filled Bridal Shower in Fremont with all her female friends and relatives. We had such a great time, and of course mother nature blessed us with warmth and sunshine! It was one of the most funfilled showers I've ever been to - good times! : )

Saturday morning we had a wonderful play-date, delicious brunch, and flower-planting get together with Beth, Jason & Jonah - fun times! Not only are they our true friends and neighbors in Alameda, but more importantly truly wonderful people who we feel blessed to have in our lives. And of course Zoey and Jonah are just TOO CUTE together.....prom dates in the making?! : )
